ABC Learning Center - 102 Grassy Trail Dr., East Carbon - provides comprehensive child development to improve overall social competence of each individual child.  Student Volunteers can assist as aides in the class rooms and as office workers.  Contact:  Mary Caviness, 435-888-2124. 

Active Re-entry – 10 S. Fairgrounds Rd., Price -  Organization that helps the disabled in the community i.e., blindness, deafness, and other physical disabilities. For more information visit  Contact:  Nancy Bentley, 435-637-4950.

Adult Literacy – 251 W 400 N, Price - Help tutor local adults in the area that want to improve their ability to read, write and speak English.  Contact:  435-637-7540.

Avalon House Soup Kitchen – 178 S. Main, Helper - Help prepare and serve a meal to homeless at the Avalon House in Helper.  Contact:  435-472-2028.

Boys & Girls Club – 130 N. 200 E., Price - An afterschool program for students at Mont Harmon Junior High. Help them with homework, play games, teach them to use a computer, etc.  Contact:  McKell Warburton, 801-540-9712.

Breakaway – An alternative Spring Break program where a group of students go to the Navajo Reservation to build and serve the elderly and disabled people there. Applications are necessary. Space is limited.  Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Carbon County Animal Shelter - 2900 E. Airport Rd., Price - Serves the Carbon County area with the purpose of having no more homeless pets in Utah.  Contact:  435-637-6654.

Carbon County Food Bank -- 75 E 400 S, Price - Help collect, sort, and put canned food on shelves at the food bank.  Contact:  Collette Freestone, 435-637-9232.

Carbon County Recreation – 81 N 200 E, Price -  Help with sports events, teaching and coaching, being a referee, maintenance on fields around the community.  Contact:  Frank Ori, 435-636-3702.

Clothes Closet – 8 E. Main, Price -  Help with stocking, cleaning, serving clients at the Carbon County Clothes Closet for the community.  Contact:  Rebecca Mason, 435-636-3204.

Castle Valley Center – 755 N. Cedar, Price - School for mentally and physically disabled needs classroom aides, as well as help with activities.  Contact:  Mike Keller, 435-637-9250.

Civic Issues – Projects that the county asks us to participate in, i.e., clean-up, drives, etc. Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Environmental Issues – Help maintain trails, clean up parks, and other related projects.  Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Elementary Education – Volunteer as a teacher’s aide in a classroom at local elementary schools.  Contact: SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Emery County Volunteer Center - Volunteer in projects situated in Emery County.   Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Green Team – Help with recycling efforts on campus.   Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.

Health and Safety – 28 S 100 E, Price - Help people on and off campus become more aware of Health & Safety issues around our area – shot clinics, preparing health packets.  Contact:  Mae Aguayo, 435-637-3671.

Home, Health & Hospice (symbii) - 248 East Main, Price - Volunteers can assist patients and their families with:  reading to the patient; writing letters; playing music; making phone calls; running errands, listening, etc.  Contact:  Tiffany Bloomer, LCSW, 435-637-7225.

Kids @ Heart! – 251 S 1600 E, Price - Once a week go and play games and sports with kids after school.  Contact:  Victor Staley, 435-637-5170.

Newborns in Need – Volunteer your time to make blankets for Newborns in Need.  Contact:  Carroll Miller, 435-637-3743.

Parkdale Care Center – 250 E 600 N, Price - Visit and participate in activities with residents at the Parkdale Care Center.  Contact:  435-637-2621.

Sun Center Singers – Come brighten the day of senior citizens singing at local nursing homes.  Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284. 

United Way – 67 E Main St., Price - Help the Price United Way with the elderly and disabled in our community.  Contact:  Bill Maikranz, 435-637-8911.

Youth and Family with Promise – Pair up with youth from the area, and be an example to them. Activities are every other week for an hour.  Contact:  SUN Center, 435-613-5284.
