In 2010 a merger occurred between two longstanding academic institutions. Utah State University and the College of Eastern Utah joined forces to provide increased opportunities and advance the missions of both institutions. The College of Eastern Utah is now known as Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah or USU Eastern.
