USU Eastern considers applicants for the following leadership areas: Ambassador, Eastern Utah Student Association, Residence Assistant, Serving Utah Network (SUN Center), Student Success Leaders, GEAR UP, and more.
How to Apply
All applications will require the following:
- Two recommendations (only two online recommendations are required, additional are recommendations not needed). Please have the email addresses of the recommending people available; the USU Office of Admissions will email them directly for the letter.
- Four pages of supplemental documentation/portfolio to be electronically uploaded. Information about electronic upload will be included in the confirmation email sent to you after the application is submitted. Video portfolios are not encouraged and will not be reviewed.
- Three short essays must be completed.
Scholarship Leadership Groups
Read through the requirements for each scholarship below. You will be asked to select up to three leadership areas for which you would like to be considered.
Ambassadors volunteer for leadership positions and host various leadership trainings for high school and junior college students.
Eastern Utah Student Association
EUSA puts on great events and activities, sits on committees that improve student life, and advocates for the advancement of the student body.
An RA is a live-in position with primary responsibilities in the areas of programming and community-building in Housing.
Serving Utah Network
Student SUN Center Involvement Leaders envision, create, organize, and carry out service “adventures” for all interested USU Eastern Students.
Student Success Leaders
This leadership group assists incoming students and mentors them throughout their first year.
GEAR UP Student Mentors
GEAR UP Student Mentors work with schools, parents, and community organizations to help students build knowledge, skills, and confidence to successfully complete high school and prepare for college.
Pepsi Student Leadership
This scholarship program works with our kitchen manager, head xhef, and Event Services to develop leadership skills that can be used in any part of the food service industry.
