About This Degree

The MEd degree is primarily focused toward teachers, staff, and administrators who want to increase their understanding of the role of technology and its appropriate implementation in the teaching and learning process.

The program helps students evaluate, integrate, and implement various forms of technology and instructional design skills into their current teaching or administrative assignments. Completing the MEd program does not qualify the student for a Utah teaching license. The MEd is a master’s level degree.

Specialization (a specialization is not required)

• Information Technology and School Library Media Administration (MEd) - Gain the skills and credentials to become an administrator in a school library media center.

Many other possibilities are open to people with ITLS degrees depending on the student’s undergraduate degree and interests. Graduates will gain the technical skills and knowledge to succeed in a wide variety of fields and with companies and organizations across the spectrum.
