About This Degree
Medical assisting is a fast growing profession that is versatile, interesting, and schedule friendly. Medical assistants have diversified skills that allow them to work in a variety of medical office settings including taking patient histories, obtaining vital signs, electrocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy and collecting and processing lab specimens. MAs also assist in surgical in-office procedures. Many medical offices offer flexibility in scheduling often allowing weekends and evenings off.
The USU Medical Assistant program is accredited through Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Labs must be completed at USU Eastern (Price) or Blanding campus
