Gastonia Skull

Fossil Fest returns to the Prehistoric Museum November 15!

This year we are featuring one of our favorite dinosaurs, Gastonia. Not only was this armored dinosaur excavated by our museum, but it also starred in episode 3 of the international documentary Walking With Dinosaurs!

This year's Fossil Fest includes:
  • Free admission to the Prehistoric Museum al day (9am - 7pm)
  • Museum collections tours (10am & 1pm)**
  • Activities/crafts for all ages in the museum exhibit gallery (11am - 2pm)
  • Up-close looks at the stars of Walking With Dinosaurs: Gastonia (11am - 2pm)
  • Walking With Dinosaurs documentary on loop in the Prehistoric Museum classroom (11am - 2pm)
**Collections tours will be restricted to the first 10 people that show up. If more than that 10 folks are interested in a given time slot, we will run a second tour one hour later (11 am and 2 pm). To attend the collections tour, meet on the west side of the West Instruction Building (WIB) on the USU Eastern campus, located here. WIB is located at the corner of 100 E and 500 N, and we will meet across from Pioneer Park on the west side of the building
