Sigma Tau Delta

Literacy Club

Sigma Tau Delta has traditionally been an honor society for English majors who have achieved and maintained high academic standards. However, at Eastern, we want all students who are interested in writing, language, and literature to find a community where they can share and promote that interest. Therefore, Sigma Tau Delta also functions as a campus club that is inclusive of any member who pledges their time and involvement to promoting literary arts on campus.

Sigma Tau Delta has three primary purposes:

  1. To promote literary arts on campus.
  2. To provide a community in which to share and discuss its members' love of writing and literature.
  3. To provide professionalization and scholarship opportunities to students interested in English studies.
