A-Team
The A-Team helps CONNECT students to campus resources and increase student success.
Our goal is to help students transition into college and ensure a successful experience. We aim to provide quality programs that will enhance the student educational experience and encourage them to reach their personal and academic goals.

2025-2026 A-Team Members
The A-Team mentors work with students as they make the transition from high school to college. This is accomplished through providing campus resources, building positive social and academic relationships, and coordinating events led by the mentors themselves.
Noah Austin
Hi! My name is Noah, and this will be my second year at USU Eastern! During my time here, I aim to discover my passions and learn more about what interests me while I pursue a bachelor's degree in integrated studies. I spend most of my time reading, crafting, and camping with my family in the Utah wilderness. I'm thrilled to be a part of the A-team/peer mentors this year and contribute to student success! Lexi Gorley
Hello, my name is Alexis (Lexi) Gorley. I am a freshman at USU Eastern looking to reach my dreams of pursuing my future career goals. I am excited to be experiencing college life and the endeavors it will bring! I love using my creative vision in many of my hobbies, which include drawing, crocheting, scrapbooking, or anything that is hands-on. I enjoy spending quality time with my family in the White Mountains of Arizona, where my passion for life takes me to new and higher places every day.

Hi! My name is Isabella (Bella) Jones, and I am an incoming freshman. I was born and raised in Price, Utah. At this time I am undecided on what I want to study, but I will be working on my generals. I love spending time with my family, especially my two cute nieces! My hobbies include painting, singing, and playing the saxophone. I'm super excited to be part of the A-team this year, and I am looking forward to helping others. Go Aggies!

Hello! My name is Kayla, and I am from Provo, Utah. This will be my first year at USU Eastern, and I am STOKED! I love spending time with friends & family, being in the mountains whether it’s hiking or skiing, drinking chocolate milk, traveling, and watching sunsets! I play for the women’s soccer team here and am also involved in the Aggies Elevated Program. I’m currently planning on earning a degree in elementary education. I’m excited to be part of the A-Team and support your success at Eastern!

Hello! My name is Mabel! I am from West Valley City, Utah. This is going to be my third year here at USU Eastern. I am going to earn a bachelor’s degree in social work. I love spending quality time with my friends and family. I also enjoy participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and running. I am so excited to continue to be a part of the peer mentor team this year and ready to continue to help students find their place here at Eastern. Go Eastern Aggies!
Lacey Thompson
Hi! My name is Lacey Thompson, and I am a private pilot student at Utah State University Eastern, currently working on getting my instrument rating. I grew up in Sandy, Utah, and graduated from Alta High School in 2023, meaning this will be my second year at USU Easter. I enjoy fiber arts such as crocheting and cross-stitching, and I spend lots of time reading. During my time as a peer mentor, I plan to connect with and uplift my fellow students and make everyone feel like they have a place here!

Hi, my name is Kaylee Thomas, and I’m from Tooele, Utah. This is my first year at USU Eastern! I'm planning on earning a degree in physical therapy. I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, especially soccer, hiking, running, or just curling up with a good book. I also love spending time hanging out with friends and family. Hi there! I play basketball for the women's basketball team here at Utah State University Eastern. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah, and I am the oldest of five kids. I am currently completing my generals, but I will major in exercise science. When I'm not playing basketball, I love to be with my family and teammates, read, play piano, cook, bake, and learn new skills! Go Eagles!

Hi! My name is Connor Valentine from Fruit Heights, Utah! I am a freshman at USU Eastern and will be studying geology and biology in pursuit of a profession in paleontology! I love just about anything with regard to the outdoors, and I love exploring the Earth's history. I am excited about the many resources at USU Eastern and look forward to helping you connect with them!

Financial Support
Federal aid helps make higher education more accessible by providing grants, loans, and work-study opportunities.
Our financial support specialist is here to guide students through applying for and managing aid. At USU Eastern, we also offer money management coaching to help students create budgets, manage debt, and explore ways to increase income.
