Biography

Brent worked several summers and countless hours at the Lyric while he earned his MFA in technical production and design (2007). He is currently an associate professor of Theatre Tech and Design at Utah State University Eastern in Price. At USUE he is responsible for all design and tech in the small but rapidly growing theatre program. He describes himself as a visual storyteller, and speaks through his designs and production work.

Before rejoining the USU family in Price (2013), he taught in southern Utah while designing pyrotechnics and special effects for Tuachan. Some of his productions and design credits include, Disney’s Aladdin and Starlight Express at Tuacahn, The Rabbit Hole, Les Miserables, Rumors, Blithe Spirit, and The Game’s Afoot at USUE, and Big Fish at The Carriage House Theatre in southern Alberta.

Brent is grateful for the unwavering support of his family as he Peter Pans though life.
