Cancellation Deadline
- All cancellations need to be emailed to the USU Eastern Housing office, sharon.jones@usu.edu.
- PRIOR to July 1, the $100 housing security deposit will be refunded.
- From July 1 to the designated move-in day, the $100 housing security deposit is forfeited.
- AFTER MOVING IN, the student must meet one of the termination reasons listed in the Housing Contract. Rent fees and meal plan fees (if approved) will be prorated through the date that the student completes the move-out process with HRL staff.
Payment Information
Payment for tuition, fees, and housing occurs in one location simply by logging into your USU Banner Access account. Students can choose to pay with an electronic check (no additional fee added) or with a credit card (a convenience fee is added at the time of transaction). Students who will be receiving financial aid or scholarship funds will have that amount allocated to tuition and fees first. Remaining funds will be put towards any housing charges. Please be aware that any past due amounts on Banner, whether it be housing or other university charges, could prevent the student from registering, using the activity card, etc.
Payment Due Dates
- Fall Semester—Due on the same date as tuition and fees for the applicable semester.
- Spring Semester—Due on the same date as tuition and fees for the applicable semester.
Rent and meal plan charges will be posted by December 1, 2026, for the spring semester. - Summer Semester—Due on the same date as tuition and fees for the applicable semester.
Rent and meal plan charges will post in April for the summer semester.
*Pending due dates, subject to change. The due date will be the same as tuition and fees.
Winter Break
Housing contracts include winter break at no additional cost. Meal plans are not active during the break. Students not remaining in housing for the spring semester must complete all move-out requirements by 5:00 p.m. the last day of finals. Students who remain in housing during winter break and then cancel for spring will be charged a per-night rate.
Amenities
Electricity, natural gas, water, sewer and garbage, internet (wireless), and free laundry are included. Bedrooms include extra-long twin beds.

Students living in Aaron Jones, Burtenshaw, Tucker, PZ Place, or Sessions are required to have a housing meal plan for the academic year.
