ALEKS Information

  • Cost: Free (for the first module), $16 for modules after that
  • Each module contains 5 placement exams and expire after 1 year. This expiration is based on the date that a student first logs in with their A# to ALEKS. Students have access to practice questions through their ALEKS Learning Path after the first placement exam in a module. Once a Learning Path is selected it CANNOT be changed and is available for 6 months. It is recommended that students practice for at least 3 hours before the next placement exam; this practice may be done at home through a student's USU account. Previous scores can also be accessed this way and downloaded, so long as the module is still “active.”
