Academic Advising

Think of your academic advisors as your personal success team. Your program advisor helps you develop a study plan and stay on track to graduate. Your local advisor is your contact person for any questions and can link you to student resources.

Eastern Essentials Sessions

for students attending their first semester

Join a group session to get the support you need before classes begin!

Our team will guide you through academic planning, registration, financial aid, and scholarships. You'll also learn how to navigate key campus tools and connect with resources to help you succeed. This is not part of online orientation and does not replace orientation requirements. Modules 1 & 2 of online orientation should be completed prior to attending this session.

If your program advisor isn't in your region, you'll work closely with a local advisor and your program advisor to help you reach your goals. Find your program advisor at usu.edu/advisors.

Technical Education Advising

Technical Education programs provide students academic and professional skills, along with the knowledge and training necessary to succeed in technical and industrial careers. Our advisors are available to assist with admissions, course scheduling, and program completion.

Cashier

The campus cashier handles student account payments and processes various fees.

If paying on your student account, credit cards are only accepted online. Only cash or check are accepted at the cashier’s office for payments to student accounts.

Financial Support

Federal aid helps make higher education more accessible by providing grants, loans, and work-study opportunities.

Our financial support specialist is here to guide students through applying for and managing aid. At USU Eastern, we also offer money management coaching to help students create budgets, manage debt, and explore ways to increase income.

First Year Experience

First Year Experience at USU Eastern is designed to CONNECT students to campus resources and increase student success.

Our goal is to help students transition into college and ensure they have a successful first year. We aim to provide quality programs that will enhance the student educational experience and encourage them to reach their personal and academic goals.

2025-2026 A-Team

The A-Team mentors work with students as they make the transition from high school to college. This is accomplished through providing campus resources, building positive social and academic relationships, and coordinating events led by the mentors themselves.

Student Records

We can check the status of your application for admission and help with student records processes, including transcripts and CEU diploma requests. We support athletic eligibility in coordination with the athletics department, appeals documentation, and verifications required by the Office of the Registrar.

Athletics Eligibility

Transcripts must be submitted to USU Eastern. All transcripts must be official, and electronically sent, emailed, or mailed in a sealed envelope directly from the institution to USU Eastern. Having them sent electronically is the fastest/preferred way. Follow the specific instructions below for each type of transcript.

Official High School Transcripts

High school transcripts must have:

  • High school name
  • Student name
  • Graduation date
  • Signature and seal from school official

  • Order these through the National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment.
  • If the college or university does not have a National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment account, order directly from the institution.
