I am an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Utah State University. I earned my BS in psychology from Weber State University and an MS and PhD in social psychology from Texas A&M University. After completing my doctoral work, I was a post-doctoral research associate at Washington State University and Texas A&M University. I am interested in the functions of emotions, and the impacts that emotions hold on experience, behavior, cognition and physiology. I am also interested in social cognition, broadly defined, with specific areas of interest including: the role of emotion in judgment, predictions of the future, and perceptions of others.
